The Kaar Bo Kaar campaign meaning \u201cWork for work\u201d in Kurdish, is aimed at promoting internships, vocational training and discouraging long-term volunteerism among youth in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Through workshops, awareness events, and social media content, the campaign encourages youth to pursue local job opportunities and build skills for long-term success.\r\nThe campaign focuses on empowering individuals to believe in their potential and make informed decisions about their futures. By collaborating with local organizations, professionals, and universities, Kar Bo Kar inspires a shift in mindset, showing that success can start at home.<\/p>

The Maro Chaki Ka campaign meaning \u201cDon\u2019t leave fix it here\u201d in Kurdish, focused on raising awareness about the dangers of illegal migration and promoting practical alternatives for youth in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Led by passionate young changemakers, the campaign highlighted the value of vocational work, local opportunities, and community engagement. Through storytelling, events, and peer outreach, Maro Chaki Ka encouraged youth to stay, grow, and contribute to their own communities. It sent a powerful message: real change starts when we choose to build our future where we are.<\/p>

Wara Dang<\/p>

Wara Dang, meaning Speak Up in Kurdish, aimed at tackling youth unemployment and encouraging civic engagement. Launched in 2022, the campaign created an open space for youth to express concerns, challenge polarizing narratives, and connect with decision-makers. Despite limited time and budget, Wara Dang mobilized thousands online and offline, facilitated job pledges from companies, and hosted events where youth directly submitted CVs to employers. Through storytelling, dialogue, and action, Wara Dang empowered youth to voice their needs and shape their own futures.<\/p>

Through digital content, events, and peer-led sessions, 22+You encouraged youth to take initiative, challenge hate speech, and build constructive dialogue. By highlighting personal stories and promoting inclusive values, the campaign created a stronger sense of identity and belonging among Kurdish youth, reminding them that positive change starts with them.<\/p>

Lo Na, meaning Why Not? Focused on breaking taboos and challenging polarized thinking, the campaign opened up public discussions around freedom of expression, youth participation, and social inclusion. By encouraging youth to ask bold questions and challenge the status quo, Lo Na inspired critical conversations both online and offline. Through creative content, community events, and direct youth involvement, the campaign empowered a new generation to speak up and take their place in shaping a more inclusive and peaceful society.<\/p>

Hallmachu<\/p>

Halmachu, meaning Don\u2019t Explode in Kurdish street slang, was the first youth-led public awareness campaign in KRI by SPARK. Developed by the Erbil Digital Workforce (EDW), the campaign tackled youth radicalisation through open dialogue and digital storytelling. With a message of \u201cTake a breath, let\u2019s talk,\u201d Halmachu reached over 50,000 people online and 2,000 offline, engaging youth, parents, educators, and policymakers. The campaign promoted youth participation, challenged taboos, and sparked conversations about identity, inclusion, and opportunity, laying the foundation for future C\/PVE efforts in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.<\/p>
